All about cheese…

… a fascinating story about an Anglophone succeeding in business in Lyon.

Two years ago, Matt decided to leave a comfortable finance job in London to come to France in search of a new career in cheese. He now works for a well-known and reputed cheese shop in Lyon, and earlier this year he won the title of “Champion de France” in the Concours National des Fromagers.

In his presentation he will describe how, as an unqualified Englishman, he entered this traditionally Franco-centric industry. He will also explain some of the fascinating history around how and why cheese is made and how to buy, store and serve it.

The WPNG is happy to offer a cheese tasting at the end of the presentation.

 

This tasting will be free of charge for WPNG members,  a contribution of 5€ will be asked on d-day for non members.

To enhance the experience you are invited to bring along your favourite wine that you normally chose when serving cheese…,perhaps we will not open all the bottles….

She teaches exclusively in the Executive Programs at the Pepperdine University: MS Technology Management, MS Organization Development, Executive MBA, and Presidential MBA.

Known for her wisdom regarding excellence in leadership, employee motivation and change management, she maintains a vibrant executive coaching practice.

Dr. Lacey brings a unique perspective to her faculty duties, having managed diverse functions such as international quality and organization development, human resources, and legal matters in manufacturing, sales, and service companies.

You should have been the there!
What a revelation the evening proved to be; getting under the skin of a collector, hearing the intimate historical and business decisions behind the introduction of this iconic toy in France and Europe and what became a new way of marketing. The debate centered round the book; writing it, finding the publisher or the other way round as it happened, but also doing the research, verifying the sources, and add to that a large dose of legal wrangling.
